[Excessive Harvest Waste] [Wood Piles left on Cut Block] Road in stream/wet area Map no: 5936 |

Forest Watch - Kent members discussing with media representatives at the beginning of badly planned and constructed road on block no. 1113. | |||

This photo was taken near the end of the road in the cut block
and shows unreasonable road construction practices in a wet area. Forest floor and top soil has been pushed to the side for no apparent
reason and the road is now covered by water. This is an area where a multitude of little streams start to gather water and feed the brooks
and rivers in the surrounding region, as far as Kouchibouguac National Park. |

| Forest Watch - Kent members walking on the road in question towards the cut block and stream damage. The road is so rough that one can hardly walk on it, never mind driving with a vehicle to collect firewood! |

| Evidence of
non-functional culverts. Water is running along the road instead of inside the poorly installed culverts and into natural streams. |

| At
this point the road is being reclaimed by the stream that was built
over. The road is slowly opening up to the stream where no appropriate
water crossing device was installed. Where the road has eroded,
vegetation typical of wet area and streambed evidence was noted. |
